WHAT ARE HORIZONTAL SPLITTING MACHINES?
In marble industry, horizontal splitting machines are utilized in acquiring two separate pieces by horizontally cutting the strips which originally are obtained by block cutting machines. Horizontal splitting machines are designed to process marble strips of maximum 160 mm thickness and maximum 630 mm width, and may come in different designs depending on how many cutting disks the machine has.
In general; machines with 2, 4, 6 and 8 cutting disks are used for horizontal splitting processes. They are also known for improving the efficiency at tile production. In particular, they are employed to minimize errors that may ocur during block cutting and loading/unloading operations.
